Technician Formulation & Process Development (Level II)

In addition to our highly versatile portfolio of proprietary biodegradable polymeric drug delivery technologies and an extensive track record in pharmaceutical development, we offer cGMP manufacturing of clinical supplies through a network of qualified CMOs. Due to the success of our innovations we need to expand our team and we currently have a job opening for Technician (Level II) in the Formulation & Process Development team.


Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented Technician with 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/CDMO industry to join our team. As Technician FPD you will play a key role in the development, optimization, and scale-up of formulations and processes. You contribute to the development of safe, effective, and high-quality parenteral sustained release formulations using InnoCore’s SynBiosys® and InGell® biodegradable polymer platforms. You execute experiments on the laboratory and ensure accurate and timely documentation of data and information. On a daily basis you are supervised by Scientists or Engineers and are part of a cross functional team (e.g. with polymer-, analytical-, or quality experts. You work typically on multiple projects, external as well as internal. You report to the Director Development.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to cross-functional project teams, including Formulation & Process Development, Analytical Development, Polymer R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing.
  • Prepare and execute various process and formulation development experiments to identify the optimal formulation, evaluate process parameters to improve production yields and efficiencies.
  • Organize and plan experiments independently to ensure timely execution according to project deadlines.
  • Select the appropriate equipment based on the purpose of the experiments and ensure optimal set-up in order to have first-time-right execution.
  • Collaborate and communicate timely with Analytical Development in order to have selected (physical) analyses executed as per plan.
  • Provide reliable data and interpretation of observations from experiments by accurately and timely documenting in lab journals or similar documents.
  • Support Scientists or Engineers in drawing conclusions or review experimental plans or small technical reports to have high quality data and smooth experiment execution.
  • Participate in laboratory cleaning, equipment calibration, and maintenance in order to enable efficient execution.
  • Ensure compliance with the internal Quality Management System and standard procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in laboratory environment
  • Experience and training in Quality Management Systems and procedures (e.g., ISO standards or GMP guidelines).
