Meet the team

Robert Hof joined InnoCore as Chief Executive Officer in June 2023. Previous to joining InnoCore, Robert worked in various Executive and Senior Management roles in the pharmaceutical services industry with companies like Symeres, DSM Biologics (now ThermoFisher) and Pepscan (now Biosynth). 

Rob Steendam, is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at InnoCore.  He holds an MSc degree in polymer chemistry and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology, both from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He has over 20 years of experience related to the development of biomaterials and biomedical, drug delivery, and combination products. He is an inventor of several patents and co-author of multiple peer-reviewed articles related to biodegradable multi-block copolymers and their application in parenteral drug delivery and drug eluting implants.

Martin Bakker, Chief Business Officer since 2015. In the past, he worked for several companies in Management & Director roles in Business Development and Marketing in the Pharmaceutical industry. Some of the companies include OctoPlus, Dr. Reddy’s, Northern Lipids (now Evonik), and PRA Healthcare (now ICON).

Monika Tyl joined InnoCore in May 2023 and is responsible for the Quality Department in the position of Director Quality and safety in the role of Safety Manager. Monika worked as QA (GMP/GLP/GCP) and QP in several pharmaceutical and food companies like DSM Biologics/Patheon (now ThermoFisher), Sharp Packaging Solutions, PRA Health Sciences (now ICON), Friesland Campina Ingredients, and compounding hospital pharmacy at Martini Hospital.  

Dirk Jan van Drooge joined Innocore as Director Development in November 2023 to lead the Formulation and Process Development team. In this role, he brings expertise on microsphere process development, scale-up and transfers to GMP manufacturing obtained in various managerial roles in pharmaceutical service industry (OctoPlus, Dr. Reddy’s, HALIX).

Director Operations since 2022 and Manager of the Analytical (as of 2012) and the Polymer R&D Department. Wilma is responsible for ensuring that the business runs as efficient as possible while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Before joining InnoCore, Wilma worked as Project Coordinator at a MAb Drug Development company.

Johan Zuidema joined InnoCore in 2009, working in different roles in Technology Development, Process Development and since 2014 as a Project Manager. Prior to joining InnoCore, Johan worked 10 years as R&D manager, developing medical devices based on biodegradable polymers (PolyGanics).

Aiva Simaite has joined InnoCore as a Project Manager in 2022. She holds a PhD in Micro-/Nanofabrication and has extensive research experience in polymer applications in medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Prior to joining InnoCore, she worked as a polymer scientist and R&D and Project Manager in two medical device startups.

Thanh Nguyen is a Project Manager at InnoCore. Thanh joined InnoCore in 2014 and since then has developed his career in project management with the company. Thanh holds a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences and is a certified project management professional (PMP). Prior to joining InnoCore, Thanh developed technical expertise at Bayer Healthcare and at MSD.

Anastasia joined InnoCore as a Project Manager in March 2023. Before joining InnoCore, Anastasia was working as a Lead Scientist in drug product development at GlaxoSmithKline in the UK. Anastasia holds a PhD from University College London and has several years of experience on the development of liquid and particulate formulations for pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.
